College Alumni Event

Alumni receptions often serve multiple purposes. They are intended to increase pride for the alma mater, underscore the value of the education, and yes, raise money. Images from receptions should produce nostalgia–friends who haven’t seen each other in years, a rekindled fondness for the institution and the time spent there. Photographing a reception of this sort often means capturing key attendees that may be faculty, staff, alumni, and donors. These are among the most fulfilling events to photograph because they are filled with such joy.
